Since 1995, Vitor Silva becomes a tennis lover. He started his career as a player. He represented Portugal in several European Championships in 2003 and 2004, and won team national championship under 16 in 2005. As a U16 and U18, Vitor crossed Europe to play international tournaments with João Sousa(top30 ATP) and Gastão Elias (top150 ATP).
Vitor reached the position 725 in 2009 at the ITF ranking. In that year he played against Roberto Bautista (nr16 ATP) and Uladzimir Ignatik that were nr.1 itf ranking. In 2011 Vitor reached the 7th position at national ranking and 3rd in 2012. For three consecutive years, he won the Regional Championship and recently played in one main draw in a Challenger Tournament (doubles).
Vitor then searched for theoretical knowledge and completed his Graduation in Sports Sciences and Physical Education at ISMAI in Porto, Portugal.
Now, Vitor Silva is a qualified coaching certified by the International Tennis Federation after successfully completed the Level 1 and 2 coaching education program under the Portuguese Tennis Federation.
Before coming to Singapore, Vitor was the Head Coach in Open Village Sport’s Tennis Academy (in Guimarães, Portugal), where they managed about 170 players of all ages. He dedicated part of his time by training high-level competition players but also has experience in conducting Adult and recreational tennis classes.
