Hello everybody. Fred Senechal here. My tennis journey began at the age of 10 when I first started playing the game at home in northern France. At 14, I left home to join the tennis club Phocéen Lumigny in Marseille to train and to learn to teach tennis. Here I was a hitting partner for Paul-Henri Mattieu, who subsequently reached a world ranking of 12.
In 1995 I joined the Regional Sports College of Reims to train to be a professional tennis coach under the instruction of French national coach, Gerard Valentin. After that, I taught in a number of different clubs in France, including Club Med and then, to improve my English, I spent a year in England teaching tennis at the Nottingham tennis centre.
In 2005 I landed in Paris to coach at the Paris Country Club and the Stade Francais. I taught mini tennis to the kids (age 4 and above) and coached adults in group and private sessions. I also coached the Club’s Academy: the best, most promising players.
I take great pleasure in introducing the youngest of new players to tennis, in helping adults who want to learn the game later in life, in honing the games of players with years of experience under their belts, and in easing players back to peak form after a period out of the game.
I arrived in Singapore in August 2018 and would be delighted to meet you on court. Please feel free to give me a call. Happy tennising – Fred
